MCC Kid’s Church
Jesus loves kids and so do we!
At MCC Kids, we work hard at welcoming and loving every child, because we know that children are precious to Jesus.
Our programs are run by committed, trained leaders, all of whom have a valid Working With Children Check and complete regular Safe Ministry training, in order to help children and vulnerable people stay safe. (For more info, see our ‘Safe Ministry’ page).
We use stories, games, singing and craft to teach the children who God is and how much he loves them and to help them grow in their relationship with Jesus.
Our Kids’ Church time starts with an ‘All In’ group session where we sing together, share news and celebrate birthdays - just like a big family! We then split into smaller groups as outlined below, to allow our programs to cater for the different stages of development of each of our children.
Preschool Kid’s Church is for children aged 2-5 years.
Infants Kid’s Church is for children in Kindy - Year 2 at school.
Primary Kid’s Church is for children in Years 3 - 5.
Year 6 children join the youth program in Impact Sundays
MCC Kids FAQ
-
You don’t need to book in for Kid's church, just turn up! However, on your child’s first time at MCC Kids, we will ask you to complete an online registration form providing your information and consent so that your child can stay safe in our program. If you like, you can complete this form in advance here.

We require that preschool children are dropped off to their program and signed in by their parent/guardian on the sign in sheet at the entrance. After church, parents/guardians need to collect their preschoolers and sign them out.
School-aged children who are joining MCC Kids for the first time should be signed in by their parents to ensure leaders have the parents’ contact details, and then signed out and collected by parents/guardians at the end of church.
School-aged children who have been to MCC Kids before can head out to their program themselves and are signed in by their leaders, but parents/guardians still need to collect them and sign them out at the end of church.

No, preschool aged children are welcome whether they are in nappies or toilet-trained. You will be asked on the registration form whether your child can take themselves to the toilet. If your child needs a nappy change whilst at kid's church or needs assistance to go to the toilet, the leaders will contact you to come and take them, as per our toileting policy.

If your child is unsettled or reluctant to be left alone, you are welcome to stay with them (for the first little while, or for the whole program) to help them settle in. Please do what you feel most comfortable with! Our leaders are great at helping children settle in, and if you leave your child and they become upset, a leader will contact you via text message.
